Winter Planting time has arrived for Temperate areas

Before you plant your winter crops you should:

– Check the pH levels of your soil – To increas alkalinity, add sulphur and to decrease it, add lime. Most vegetables prefer a pH level of 6.5 – 7.

– Add fresh organic compost or manures – Leave this for 2 weeks before you plant out.
